The situation
Kinship's intake process asked patients to complete a long generic form before the care team knew whether a program was appropriate. Mobile abandonment was high, eligibility rules were difficult to update, and incomplete submissions created follow-up work for coordinators.
Because the workflow handled sensitive health information, speed could not come at the expense of clarity, privacy, or operational control.
What Vyndel would build
We separated screening from full intake, made the question path adapt to prior answers, and gave operations staff a controlled way to update program rules. The experience was designed mobile-first and tested against keyboard, screen-reader, and low-vision needs.
On the platform side, we defined strict data boundaries, auditable access, and clear retention behavior. Integration events kept the care team's existing system in sync without exposing implementation details to patients.
Delivery highlights
- Progressive questionnaire with save-and-resume support
- WCAG-minded component patterns and content guidance
- Auditable eligibility rules managed without a deployment
- Integration contracts and operational runbooks
Example outcome
In this fictional but representative engagement, completed mobile intake rose to 68% and coordinators spent less time chasing missing information. The final handoff included accessibility findings, threat-model notes, and a prioritized roadmap for the client's next release.
